Sam and Debbie are married!

Last weekend, Sam (the youngest of my 6 older brothers) and Debbie got married at the Strand Theater in Clinton, Massachusetts, an independent theater that plays a lot of older movies (This week's show was It's a Wondeful Life). The theater was beautiful. The movie screen had a snowy landscape scene so it felt like it was snowing on all of us in the theater. The cinema people also added lights to the stage and subtle bows on each of the seats. It looked really pretty.

Both Geoff and I were in the wedding. After seating all of the guests, Geoff had the honor of escorting my mom to her seat (she looked awesome). The guys walked down to the stage to ZZ Top's Sharp Dressed Man. We ladies walked in to a Rascal Flatt's song. I was the first to walk the aisle. A few people, including Geoff, said they didn't recognize me at first (I took this as a compliment). Once up on stage, I couldn't look at Sam too long without tearing up. I looked at my parents and nearly cried then because they looked so happy and were sobbing proudly. The ceremony was very nice. Allen's wife did a reading from Jane Eyre, and the vows Sam and Debbie chose to read were simple and sweet.

The reception was awesome. We danced for hours. Geoff even danced (he had told me before that he'd dance with me until his feet were red and bleeding). At one point during the night, I looked out to the dance floor and he was out there in a circle doing the chicken dance with all the kids. It was adorable.

Later in the evening, instead of throwing her bouquet, Debbie tapped my shoulder as I danced with Geoff, said, "Tag, you're it," and handed me the bouquet. It was a dirty trick that resulted in many laughs. Throughout the night, more than one person asked Geoff and I when it was going to be our turn. Obviously my family is a fan of Geoff. He is even a part of the Flagg Family photos we took at the reception. I love it.

Overall the wedding was wonderful. I loved having Geoff there with me. It was great to dance with him, my brothers and two sisters-in-law, and the cousins I grew up with. My mom even danced. She was out there with her sister, shaking her booty to "We are Family." It was the best.
