People always say that planning a wedding is like a second job. They weren't kidding. There are so many things to do and those checklists that wedding sites provide, though helpful, often make the endeavor more stressful with their red exclamation points telling you you're late with nearly everything. Geoff and I have been doing pretty well, I think. We got a ton done right after christmas. Putting down deposits and booking multiple vendors really made the wedding real. May 31st is coming up fast!
Geoff created a gorgeous wedding website for us. Click here to get a sneak peak (While there, check out Geoff's awesome online design portfolio).

It's about time we updated!
We've had trouble updating this blog for the last few months. The engagement was so exciting that it is hard to push it down by adding a new entry. However, it is about time we posted an update. It's now 2009 - we are getting married this year! 2008 was a year full of accomplishments and good memories. In addition to our amazing engagement, we celebrated Geoff's new job, my first 5K, and other little pleasures along the way. It also had its challenges, like the search for that new job, and big changes at my job, but overall, it was a wonderful year.
We had a very nice Christmas with our families. Geoff loved all of his hockey related gifts, and I also received some wonderful presents. It was so nice to have a relaxed christmas dinner at Allen's house. Our New Year's was also relaxed. After many days in the Gardner area (we stuck around there after christmas to do some wedding planning), we decided that we just wanted to stay home. We ordered chinese food and had a Back to the Future marathon. I fell asleep on the couch, underneath the new "teddy bear blanket" that Geoff gave me for Christmas. We toasted with sparkling cider at midnight. It was such a nice, relaxing evening.
We both took some time off around the holidays to try to focus on our wedding planning. We did pretty well, too. We were able to book our caterer, photographer, florist, and to visit a couple of cake places. Geoff went and picked out his tux (it took 15 minutes!), and we booked our officiant, a justice of the peace who actually did Crystal and Jeff's and Christina and Scott's weddings. She is very nice and I look forward to seeing what she comes up with for our wedding. Also, after months of looking, I bought a dress (YAY)! I went to Nashua with my mom and Geoff's mom on the Saturday after Christmas and picked out one of their newer styles. It's beautiful; I can't wait for Geoff to see me in it!
Now that we've accomplished so much, it really feels like it is happening. It's very exciting! We still have much to do, but things are coming together!
