Bridal Shower Bliss

My bridal shower was today! It was wonderful. The girls and moms put together a very nice brunch with homemade breads, quiche, french toast casserole, etc. Delicious! I was so impressed with how beautifully decorated everything was. Purples everywhere! Emily's mom made gorgeous desserts - chocolate covered strawberries and gorgeous cupcakes (it made me wish I had asked her to do our wedding cake; it was so elegantly done).
Amber and Emily organized a couple of games - Geoff and Amy Trivia and Bridal Bingo. It was a lot of fun to see what people know about Geoff and I, and I was glad that people had the Bingo game to keep them interested while I opened presents. There were so many gifts. I felt so spoiled.
The best part was seeing everyone. I can't wait to see the pictures! I'll post them soon!

We solemnly swear...

We went and applied for our marriage license on Friday. We had to raise our right hands and swear that we are who we say. It was very official!

The next day, we went to the Sheepshearing festival with Catie and her fried Angie, and saw Sally Struthers (All in the Family) shear a sheep. We walked there and back and both got sunburned, but it was a fun day.

That night we headed home for a BBQ at the Maguys, and played with the babies! They are too cute.

42 Days

The wedding is coming up fast and we are super excited. There is still a to-do list, but things are getting crossed off (Geoff finished the favors today!). Our honeymoon is all booked; we're going to Ireland! We have our wedding bands. We've already received some gifts (thanks!).

Geoff had his bachelor party on April 4. I'll have to get him to post an update about it, but he had a great time. It was the perfect day for Geoff - a Bruins Game and chinese food with the boys. That night was funny for me because, while my fiance was out at his bachelor party, I somehow managed to be the one getting into trouble! I drove Catie home after some hardcore scrabble games, and managed to get pulled over in the mile or so between her house and ours. Luckily, the police officer was friendly and I only got a warning. It was just one of those "go figure" moments that you have to laugh about.

I'm looking forward to my bachelorette and shower, but my bridal party/parents are very sneaky and I don't have a clear idea of when either are. It's fun. I like surprises :) I'll just have to make sure that I have cute outfits prepared.

Our one bedroom apartment is feeling smaller and smaller; We are seriously considering looking into buying a house soon. Then...who knows :)

Exciting times!
